Who We Are
Alex Vukosavljevic
President
Alex has over 43 years municipal water treatment and distribution experience with Metro Works, Toronto Water and York Region.
As Chief Superintendent – Operations with Metro Works, Alex managed the operations of Toronto’s four water treatment plants and transmission system. Key accomplishments included managing a significant number of major plant, reservoir and water main outages for inspection, maintenance and implementation of high quality disinfection procedures without impacting service levels to Toronto’s populace.
After amalgamation, Alex spent 14 years as Plant Manager of the F.J. Horgan Water Treatment plant and in his final years with Toronto Water was Project Manager for the design phase of the Horgan plant capacity expansion to 800 ML/d (a $200M project).
Alex also worked with the Region of York on a part time basis as Program Manager – Delivery Performance and led an effort at updating the Region’s water and wastewater Design Standards, Guidelines and Specifications.
Alex was also Professor for 3 years with Durham College’s School of Science and Engineering Technology and has an Adult Education Certificate from George Brown College. As a past holder of Class 4 Water Treatment and Water Distribution & Supply operating licenses in Ontario Alex served as ORO for Toronto Water. Alex sat on technical and training advisory committees (Walkerton Training Advisory Committee) and is committed to improving the training of workers in the water and wastewater industry. Alex is a lifetime member of AWWA and is the recipient of AWWA's Silver Water Drop award as well as OWWA's Operator Meritorious Award (1999).
Professional experience includes representing operators as a member of the MOE’s Stakeholder Review Group for two key provincial documents:

Dennis Snow
Vice-President and Secretary Treasurer
Dennis has over 33 years municipal experience with the former Metropolitan Toronto Works and Emergency Services Department and with Toronto Water.
As a Supervisor with Metro Works, Dennis supervised the isolation, de-watering, inspection, cleaning, rehabilitation and disinfection of Toronto’s trunk transmission water mains, reservoirs and elevated tanks.
Key accomplishments included serving as the technical advisor member on the Metropolitan Toronto Works Department’s Disinfection Harmonization Committee. This Committee developed and harmonized all of the Metropolitan Toronto Works Department’s water main disinfection practices through two documents, “Procedure for Disinfecting Water Mains” and “Adverse Water Quality Response”.
After Toronto’s amalgamation in 1998, as a Coordinator with City of Toronto’s Construction and Maintenance Services Section, Dennis coordinated and supervised the delivery of disinfection services to the water treatment plants and transmission sections of Water Treatment & Supply and to the various districts.
Key Accomplishments included serving as a member of the District Services Improvement (DSI) Program’s Practices Committee and was a significant contributor to the development of harmonized practices for the inspection, maintenance and disinfection of water mains, reservoirs and elevated tanks.
